    Brief Overview

Soap noodles result from saponification, blending palm, coconut, and olive oils with tallow using sodium hydroxide. As an early soap type, soap noodles excel in efficient soap production and versatile customization of flavors, colors, and other aspects. Final product diversity is achieved through techniques like pressing, stamping, and molding.

    Manufacturing Process

Triglyceride molecules mix with sodium hydroxide in the main soap-making method called direct saponification. Hydrolysis changes fats and oils into glycerol and fatty acids. Sodium hydroxide neutralizes the fatty acids. Methyl esters form when methanol and oil or fat undergo trans-esterification. Making soap involves saponifying these methyl esters with sodium hydroxide, producing methanol as a byproduct.

    Detergent Industry

To generate a thin soap layer, the mixture undergoes processing either through a worm screw or rollers. The application of high pressure, coupled with stirring along the length of the screw, results in the extrusion of multiple soap layers through a perforated endplate. The production of numerous soap layers entails the compression of homogenized soap using a substantial worm screw extruder, commonly referred to as a plodder.

The assortment of soaps produced, including laundry, toilet, medicinal, and high-lather soap, is determined by the specific characteristics of various soap noodles.
